Connecting Aureli to Grok

2 min read
|Updated April 1, 2026

Aureli's MCP server lets you connect your portfolio data to Grok, so you can ask about your finances directly in Grok.

This feature requires an Aureli Pro subscription.

How to connect

  1. Open Grok and go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to the Integrations or MCP Servers section.
  3. Click Add Integration or Add MCP Server.
  4. Enter the following URL:
https://aureli.app/api/mcp
  1. Give the integration a name (e.g. "Aureli").
  2. Click Save or Connect.
  3. A browser window will open asking you to sign in to Aureli (if you aren't already) and authorise the connection.
  4. Choose which permissions to grant — read portfolios, edit portfolios, or view connections.
  5. Confirm the authorisation. You'll be redirected back to Grok.

You can now ask Grok questions like "What's my net worth?" or "What are my biggest debts?" and it will pull live data from your Aureli account.

What Grok can access

Once connected, Grok can use the following tools depending on the permissions you granted:

  • Read portfolios — view your portfolios, assets, debts, net worth, and allocation data
  • Edit portfolios — add and edit assets, debts, and valuations
  • View connections — view bank connection status

Revoking access

To disconnect Grok from your Aureli account, go to Profile → Connected Apps and click Revoke next to the Grok entry. See Managing connected apps for more details.

Troubleshooting

  • Connection not appearing? Make sure you completed the authorisation step in your browser. Check that you're signed in to the correct Aureli account.
  • "Requires Pro" error? MCP server access is only available on the Aureli Pro plan. Upgrade here.
  • Data not updating? Grok fetches live data on each request. If values seem stale, check that your Aureli portfolio is up to date.
