Connected apps are AI assistants and external applications — such as Claude Desktop or Cursor — that you've authorised to access your Aureli data through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Viewing connected apps
- Go to Profile from the account menu.
- Open the Connected Apps tab.
Each connected app shows:
- App name — the application you authorised
- Permissions — what data the app can access
- Date connected — when access was first granted
Permissions
Apps can request the following permission scopes:
| Scope | What it allows |
|---|---|
| Read portfolios | View portfolios, assets, debts, net worth, and allocation data |
| Edit portfolios | Add and edit assets, debts, and valuations |
| View connections | View bank connection status |
Each app only has access to the scopes you approved during authorisation.
Revoking access
To disconnect an app, click the Revoke button next to it. All access tokens for that app are deleted immediately and it can no longer read or modify your data.
If you want to reconnect the app later, you'll need to go through the authorisation flow again from within the app.
No connected apps
If you haven't connected any external apps, the tab displays an empty state. Apps appear here automatically after you authorise them through an MCP-compatible application.
