Setting Up Passkeys

2 min read
|Updated March 31, 2026

Passkeys let you sign in to Aureli using your device's biometrics (fingerprint or face recognition) or a hardware security key, without needing a password or magic link email.

Adding a passkey

  1. Go to Profile from the account menu.
  2. Open the Passkeys tab.
  3. Click Add a passkey.
  4. Follow your device's prompts to register a fingerprint, face scan, or security key.

Once registered, the passkey appears in your list with its type and creation date.

Managing passkeys

The Passkeys tab shows all registered passkeys with:

  • Device type — whether the passkey is stored on a single device or synced across multiple devices
  • Backup status — whether the passkey is backed up
  • Date added — when the passkey was registered

You can register multiple passkeys for different devices.

Removing a passkey

To remove a passkey, click the Remove button next to it. The passkey is deleted immediately. If you have other sign-in methods linked to your account (Google, Apple, or email), you can still log in using those.

Why use passkeys

  • Faster — sign in with a tap or glance instead of waiting for an email link
  • More secure — passkeys are resistant to phishing and cannot be reused across sites
  • No passwords — nothing to remember or type
