If you no longer want to use Aureli, you can delete your account from the profile page. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no grace period, and it can't be undone once you confirm.
How to delete your account
- Go to Profile from the account menu.
- Open the Delete Account tab.
- Click Delete Account and confirm in the dialog.
Once you confirm, your account is closed straight away and you're signed out. Its data is then permanently erased.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, everything associated with it is permanently removed. This includes:
- Your profile and authentication details
- All portfolios you own
- All assets, debts, and their valuation history
- Bank connections
- AI chat history
- Subscription and billing records
As part of deletion, Aureli also revokes any active bank consents at the open banking provider (Finexer for UK connections) so the provider stops holding your data, in line with GDPR's right to erasure. Once everything has been removed, you'll receive a final deletion confirmation email so you have a record that the request was completed.
This action is irreversible. There is no grace period, and data cannot be recovered after deletion.
