Set the target. Track the progress. Hit the milestone.

Most wealth-building goals live in your head. The first £100k. The mortgage cleared by 50. The ISA filled before April. Useful targets, but invisible ones. There is no progress bar in your bank app, no green tick when you cross the line.

Milestones fix that. Set a target inside Aureli, and we track the gap between where you are and where you want to be. You see the percentage move with every valuation, every market tick, every mortgage repayment. The day your target is met, the milestone is marked as achieved automatically.

Four targets that cover real wealth-building

We deliberately kept the types tight. Each one maps to a question people actually ask themselves.

Net worth target. "When do I cross £250k?" Track total assets minus total debts against any figure you choose, in any currency.

Asset target. "When does my ISA hit the £20k allowance? When does my pension reach six figures?" Set a target on a single asset, or on an entire asset class: pensions, property, equities, crypto.

Debt cleared. "When is the mortgage gone? When is the loan finished?" Pick the debt, and the milestone closes the moment its balance hits zero.

Debt below. "When does my mortgage drop under £200k? When does the credit card fall below £1k?" A softer threshold for the long debts you are chipping away at rather than racing to clear.

Projected against your scenarios

A target you have hit is satisfying. A target you can see arriving is what changes behaviour.

Every milestone you set is now projected through your future scenarios. Build a scenario with the contributions, debt rules, and lump sums you expect, and Aureli will tell you the date that scenario crosses each of your milestones. Push your monthly ISA contribution up by £200 and the £100k net worth date moves forward by eleven months. Add a bonus as a lump sum and watch the mortgage-cleared milestone shift. Drop your savings rate and see which targets slip past your goal date.

It works the other way too. Set a target date on a milestone, run a scenario, and the projection tells you whether you are on track, ahead, or behind. The milestone stops being a wish and becomes something you can plan around.

Multi-currency, like the rest of Aureli

Targets carry their own currency. Set a £100k net worth target on a portfolio that holds USD equities, EUR property, and a GBP pension, and we convert everything at live rates before checking progress. Useful if you are paid in one currency, invested in another, and saving in a third.

Automatic detection, no manual ticking

A daily check runs across every active milestone. If the condition is now met (net worth above target, debt below threshold, balance at zero), the milestone is stamped as achieved with the date you got there.

You do not need to remember to check. You do not need to mark anything done. The next time you open Aureli, the milestone has already moved into the achieved column.

Why milestones, not budgets

Aureli has always been anti-budgeting. Budgets focus on what you spent last month. Milestones focus on what you are building over years. They are the difference between watching the petrol gauge and watching the odometer. Both are useful, but only one tells you how far you have come.

If you are in the wealth-accumulation phase, paying down a mortgage, filling ISAs and pensions, growing a portfolio that is starting to outgrow the spreadsheet, milestones are the part of the dashboard you will check most often.

Available now

Milestones are live for every portfolio, on every plan. Open any portfolio, head to the Milestones tab, and set your first target. Most people start with the obvious one: the next round number on their net worth.

Pick the target you have been carrying around in your head. Then let Aureli watch the gap close.
