What's new on the free plan

We have made some changes to the free tier that we think make Aureli a lot more useful from day one. Here is what changed and why.

Live tracking is no longer Pro only

The biggest change: free accounts can now add up to 3 auto-updating assets across stocks, crypto, and commodities. Pick any combination you like. Track two stocks and a crypto, or three commodities, or one of each.

Previously, free users could only add assets manually. That meant your net worth only changed when you remembered to update it yourself. Now, with live tracking, your portfolio updates automatically throughout the day. Your daily and weekly portfolio emails actually have something new to show you, and checking in on your net worth becomes a habit rather than a chore.

If you want to track more than 3 live assets, that is where Pro comes in. Pro gives you unlimited live tracking across all asset types.

Share your portfolio with viewers

Free users can now invite people to view their portfolios at no cost. Want to share your financial progress with a partner, family member, or advisor? You can do that without upgrading.

If you need someone to actively edit your portfolio (adding assets, updating valuations), that still requires Pro. But for most people who just want to let someone else see how things are going, viewer sharing covers it.

Adjusted asset and debt limits

We have also adjusted the free plan limits. Free accounts now support up to 10 assets and 10 debts (previously 15 each). For most people starting out, 10 of each is plenty of room to get a clear picture of your finances.

If you are an existing free user with more than 10 assets or debts, nothing has been removed. Your existing data stays exactly where it is. You just will not be able to add new ones until you are back under the limit, or you upgrade to Pro where there are no limits at all.

Why these changes?

We want the free plan to be genuinely useful, not just a preview. Giving free users live tracking and viewer sharing means you can actually experience what makes Aureli different before deciding whether Pro is worth it.

At the same time, Pro needs to be a clear step up. Unlimited tracking, editor sharing, and expanded AI access give you the tools for serious portfolio management.
