Aureli can track stocks and ETFs and update their prices automatically every day. You provide the ticker symbol and the number of units you hold — Aureli takes care of the rest.
Adding a stock or ETF
- Open your portfolio and go to Assets.
- Click Add asset and select Stock from the asset type list.
- Search for the ticker symbol. Aureli will search for matching symbols from the market data provider — select the correct one from the results.
- Optionally specify the exchange (e.g. NASDAQ, LSE) to ensure the correct listing is used, particularly for stocks traded on multiple exchanges.
- Enter the number of units (shares) you hold.
- Click Save.
ETFs are added using the same flow — select Stock as the asset type and enter the ETF's ticker symbol.
Automatic price updates
Once you've added a stock or ETF with automatic updates enabled, Aureli fetches the latest price once per day. The updated price is stored as a new valuation and immediately reflected in your net worth.
Automatic price updates require a PRO plan. If you are on the LITE plan or have downgraded from PRO, your stocks will be in a suspended state and prices will not update until PRO is restored.
Manual valuations
If you prefer to control valuations yourself, or if automatic updates aren't available for a particular ticker, you can add valuations manually from the asset's detail page. See Manually updating an asset's value for how this works.
What if my ticker isn't found?
If the search doesn't return a match for your ticker:
- Try searching by company name instead of the symbol.
- Specify the exchange in the search — some tickers are listed on multiple exchanges under different codes.
- If the ticker genuinely isn't available, you can still add the asset and maintain its value using manual valuations.
Editing units or exchange
You can update the number of units held or the exchange at any time from the asset's detail page. Price history is preserved when you make these changes.
